Client Challenges and Vision

Delta Renovations approached us for the development of a new website. They had an online presence but felt it did not align with the direction of their growing company.
The key challenges the client was looking to address:

Limited to no online presence Loss of Credibility Missed Marketing Opportunity Reduced customer engagement
Competitive disadvantage Lack of Customer / Visitor Insights Loss of Business

Recognizing the need to improve its digital presence and overall customer experience, Delta Renovations decided to develop their website and kickstart their branding journey by creating a suitable logo. This step aims to enhance the client experience and uphold their commitment to delivering high-quality services.

Comprehensive Approach and Proactive Development

Valenta undertook a comprehensive evaluation of the key elements and requirements of the business.

Key Considerations for the Engagement

Valenta’s mandate was to develop a suitable website to ensure that potential customers have a great user experience and maintain engagement across all stages of their journey.

Our Key Considerations for the Engagement:

Front-end Considerations Back-end Considerations
Efforts will be geared towards refining the website that will at a minimum:

  • Allow for potential customers to share and submit preliminary information and related enquiry through web forms.
  • Allow for Customers to upload related documents and provide confirmation on designs or track order status.
  • Allow for customers to make online payments if required.
  • Allow for customers to submit any queries or seek additional information and obtain a response in minimal TAT.
  • Design the UI/UX of the entire website that provides a great user experience and is in alignment with the branding guidelines.
  • Ensure complete visibility of the customer journey to the team for effective management of orders in the design, order placement, and delivery stages.
  • Allow for integration of the website with other platforms as required by leadership.
  • Ensure effective deployment on a cloud server to handle traffic & give an optimized experience.
  • Establish a robust customer management portal that handles all queries enquiries and information requests put forth.

Implementation Steps for the Engagement

First, we collaborated with the client on setting goals. Based on those goals, we produced a project plan with a timeline to launch their website.
The project plan included the following key phases:

Designing of Company Logo and Color Schemes

  • The logo design took two weeks, and four rounds of edits through two separate design types.
  • The branding was half strategy and half client preferences on colors.
  • For example, their original idea was to use a blue gradient that they loved, and we expressed our reservation, especially with regards to recreating printed materials and goods – such as a sign for their company van, and t-shirts for their workers and this thought was appreciated by the customer.
  • For the website, we tried four different color schemes before they decided on what they really liked which was the silver/gray theme you see on their website.

Sitemap and Wireframing

  • Our team used information about their target audience, competitors, and current website content to design a sitemap.
  • After the sitemap was complete, we compiled keyword research and applied on-page SEO recommendations for each page.
  • While we finished our SEO audit, we started working on page wireframes that showcased their software.
  • We combined the client’s requirements, best practices, and content that would lead to success.

Design

  • Before we started the design, we reviewed inspiration and competitor websites.
  • This allowed our designer to build a design strategy that Delta Renovation could grow into for years to come

Development and Content Setup

  • In the development phase, we built the HubSpot COS templates, then layered on CSS based on the designs.
  • We used a custom icon font to make crisp icons that are responsive-friendly. We also edited dashboard screenshots to make them a focal point, rotating them to add visual interest in the slider.
  • After the InTouch Technology team provided the copy, LyntonWeb loaded all copies and optimized each page for SEO.
  • We then trained the InTouch team on how to use the COS- providing tips on what tools to use to track success based on the goals we worked out together.

Launch

  • After testing and reviewing all templates across popular desktop browsers, and devices and loading URL redirects, we were ready to go live.
  • We launched the new website in time for Delta Renovation to launch their operations in new markets.

Additional Notes on the Engagement

  • The client had purchased their domain and email services through GoDaddy. We ran into issues with GoDaddy because the data from the previous owner of the domain was never deleted by Microsoft. Because of that, we couldn’t set up a company email address for them.
  • Our team went out of our way to contact GoDaddy and Microsoft in an attempt to get the previous data deleted.
  • The client was extremely grateful to the Engagement Team of Valenta for their time and effort in resolving the issues.

Business Outcomes & Results

The key business outcomes of developing a new website for our client include:

  • Increased Visibility and Accessibility by being easily found by a wider audience and enhancing their online presence and credibility.

The Result

Delta Renovations is happy about their new website, which showcases their services in a more modern approach.

Hi Jayesh, just wanted to say thank you for accepting to take over the task of quickly creating a website for us! Victoria was a pleasure to work with and she took care of our needs. She was always on time for all the virtual meetings we’ve had and was always considerate with my few concerns which she did her best to fix and address. Overall, a pleasant experience even though I’m here in Toronto and she’s out in Vancouver.
